It is said that a craftsman in Somei Village marketed it as Yoshino cherry.

Yoshinoyama in Nara Prefecture.
Yoshinoyama is registered as a World Heritage site and is famous for its yamazakura cherry trees.
The cherry trees on Yoshinoyama are also called Yoshino cherry trees.
To avoid confusion over the name, it seems to have become Someiyoshino because it is the Yoshino cherry tree in Somei Village.
As a result, it is a charming name with a good sense of language, and it is GOOD.
