2月に入って３度目の動物園に行ってきました。
We went to the zoo for the third time in February.
近くにあってそれほど高くない金額で
入場できるので
大好きです。
I love it because it’s close by and not too expensive to enter.
今日は暖かかったので
弁当を持って出かけました。
It was warm today, so I took my lunch out.
卵焼きは私がつくりました。

シマウマが近いところにいる Zebras are in close proximity
動物園を入ってすぐのところに
キリンとシマウマがいます。
There is a giraffe and a zebra right after you enter the zoo.
キリンは割とよってくるのですが、
シマウマはいつも遠いところにいます。
The giraffes come rather close, but the zebras are always far away.
今日はキリンと同じ距離間のところにいました。
But today, there was a zebra at the same distance from the giraffe.
近くで見ても遠くで見ても
シマウマは縞々でした。
Up close and far away, the zebras were striped.

カピバラは気持ちよさそう Capybara looks good
冬の間カピバラさんの
お風呂イベントをやっています。
We are having a capybara bath event during the winter.
ただただお風呂に
カピバラが入っているだけなのですが、
気持ちよさそうな顔をみているだけで
ほっこりします。
It’s just a capybara in a bath.
The capybara is in a bath,
and just looking at its pleasant face is enough to make you smile.
忙しくて疲れている人には
カピバラのお風呂観察が
癒しになりそうです。
If you are busy and tired, observing a capybara bath can be soothing.
Incidentally, Japan was the first country to start a hot spring for capybaras.
Maybe you can only see them in Japan.
今日の暖かさは格別だったようです It seems to have been exceptionally warm today
行ったら必ず日向ぼっこしている動物は
サル、イノシシ、クマ、トラです。
The monkeys, wild boars, bears and tigers are always basking in the sun
when you go there.
今回はそれらの動物に加えて
キツネが日向ぼっこして寝ていました。
In addition to those animals, a fox was sleeping in the sun this time.
キツネって意外とかわいい。
Foxes are surprisingly cute.
They are always hiding and never show themselves, so this was a rare sight.
広場もピクニック日和 The square is also a picnic day
連日の好天の影響か
広場の雪が解けていました。
Thanks to the fine weather, the snow in the square had melted.
そこそこの数のピクニックしていましたし、
ボール遊びや遊具での遊びをしている家族も
大勢いました。
There were a lot of people picnicking there.
And there were many families playing with balls and on the playground equipment.
春の匂いがしますね。
I feel spring.
