使い始めて半年も経っていないのに・・・

食洗器との思い出 Memories with the dishwasher
まだ半年未満という
短い期間でしたが、
とてもお世話になりました。
It was only a short period of time, less than six months.
But we have been very indebted to it.
普通に食器を洗おうとすると
洗って、拭いて、片付ける
３つの工程で
30分以上かかります。
There are three steps involved in trying to wash dishes.
Wash, wipe, put away
This will take at least 30 minutes.
それが朝昼晩と３回ありますので
皿洗いに90分以上
時間を使うことになります。
In total, I spend over 90 minutes a day washing dishes.
なんと１日の10%近くになります。
This is a whopping nearly 10% of the day.
もったいない。
What a waste.
そして皿洗いは楽しくない。
And washing dishes is no fun.
手も荒れてしまいます。
My hands will also be rough.
I hate washing dishes.
そんな作業を一手に引き受けてくれたのが
食洗器でした。
The dishwasher does this hated task for me.
洗って乾燥もしてくれるので
私たちの仕事は
食洗器の中に皿をならべるだけです。
They also wash and dry.
I just put the dishes in the dishwasher.
食洗器の中に入りきらなかったものだけ洗いますが、
それでも作業時間は3分の一以下になります。
Wash what didn’t fit in the dishwasher.
This will take less than a third of the time it used to.
すごい頼もしい存在でした。
They were amazing and reliable.
I love it.
故障の原因は？ What caused the failure?
症状は水が排出されず。
Symptoms of failure are water not draining.
うんともすんとも動かないみたです。
It just didn’t work.
故障の原因はわかりません。
We do not know the cause of the malfunction.
とりあえずメーカーの人に
みてもらわないといけないみたいです。
To fix this, we need to have it looked at by the manufacturer.
半年での故障は
さすがに早すぎる。
The breakdown in six months is too soon.
高い買い物だったし
無料で直してもらえたらいいなぁ。
そして一刻も早く直してもらいたい。
It was an expensive purchase.
I want it fixed for free.
And I hope the manufacturer will fix it soon.
