I went to my first eye doctor’s office.
It is precious to be able to experience something new at this age.
The feeling in the hospital
The reception area looked no different than a regular hospital.
On the way to the examination room, there were several sets for measuring eyesight, which made me feel like an eye doctor.
And medical examination.
There was an examination table by the doctor that looked like an eye-tester where he could check my eyes.
This is what ophthalmology is all about.
Purpose of treatment
have always had discomfort in my eyes due to debris in my eyeballs.
I looked in the mirror and saw a white spot right in the middle of my eye.
I went to have it removed.
Here we go! Medical examination!
The doctor quickly found the white spot.
Something stings, he said.
He said. ” I’ll take it, but first I’m going to put some painkillers in your eyes.”
And the eye drops go into my eyes.
It stains a lot.
The procedure begins. I put my head on the examination table.
Here is the actual conversation between the doctor and me.
Doctor “Please open your eyes!”
Me, “Yes. My eyes are blotchy from the eye drops, but I do my best to open them.
Doctor “Please open your eyes!”
Me, “I’m open”.
Doctor “Please open your eyes!”
Me, “What, my eyes aren’t open?”
Doctor ” your eyes are not open”
Perhaps I was trying to open my eyes and only my eyebrows were raised.
Me, “open my eyes”
Doctor, “Don’t look up, look forward”
Perhaps I was in a white state trying to open my eyes.
I’m still working hard on this.
Doctor, “Watch the light.”
Me, “Yes.
Doctor, “I got it!”
It was a moment to take it.
The eye opening interaction was longer.
Opening your eyes is hard work.
I’m getting eye drops and going home
I went home after receiving eye drops for a hole in the puncture site.
It’s hard to apply eye drops.
I have never been able to get eye drops to work.
Often I do two strategies, one is to let it run down to the eyelashes and the other is to let it run down from the inner corner of the eye.
Both seem not good.
I’ve heard that if the eye drops touch other parts of the eye and get into the eye, germs can get into the eye.
So I guess the strategy of blindly dropping eye drops is not so good either.
The Rohto website shows the correct way to apply eye drops.
I will do my best with that.

There is a Japanese proverb that says “eye drops from the second floor”.
It has two meanings.
・It means that it is frustrating to not be able to do something easily.
・It means that it is too inefficient to be effective.
The height of the second floor is about 3 meters.
It is indeed quite difficult to apply eye drops from 3 meters above.
If you are outdoors, the wind may also have an effect.
Also, in order to drop drops of water straight down, it is necessary to eliminate the blurring of the wrist as much as possible.
There is a big problem here.
In order for one person to perform this task, it is necessary to reach the first floor faster than the speed at which the drop of water falls.
And to get the drops perfectly in place, it is necessary to be in a firm position to receive the drops.
Of course, safety comes first, so no dangerous methods are allowed.
Must reach the first floor without injury.
According to the law of universal gravitation, the speed of falling is constant regardless of the weight of the object.
It is necessary to apply some kind of force, not just to descend.
It would be nice if you could run down a wall.
These are the things we need.
・Concentration to drop one drop of eye drops
・Muscle strength to hold hands in place
・Running ability to run down the wall
・Nimble body movements
・Toughness to avoid injury
・The ability to make the best decision at a moment’s notice.
・The mental toughness to carry out the plan.
We need to have all of the above.
We must not lose even one of them.
It is probably the ninja who can do this.
I admire ninjas.
I would like to start with what I can do.
I will make an effort to give eye drops from 10cm above.
I will do my best.
